Cookies and browser storage

This website doesn't use advertising cookies or analytics tracking. It uses a small browser-storage setting to remember when you've dismissed its cookie notice. This page explains that setting and the external services used to display the site.

Remembering your choice

When you select “Got it” on the cookie notice, the site saves a setting called cookieNoticeDismissed in your browser's local storage. Its value is simply 1. It remembers your choice so the notice doesn't keep appearing.

This setting doesn't contain your name, email address or a tracking identifier. Local storage is kept in your browser and isn't automatically included with each web request as a cookie would be.

The setting has no automatic expiry. It remains until you clear this site's browser data, your browser removes it or the site removes it. If storage is unavailable, you can still read the website.

External services

The site is hosted by Vercel and loads its font from Google Fonts. Loading pages and fonts involves requests to these providers, which receive technical information such as your IP address and browser request details. These requests are separate from the local-storage setting described above.

The enquiry form is handled by Web3Forms when you choose to send a message. The privacy notice explains how enquiry information and website requests are handled.

Links to services such as LinkedIn take you to other websites. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply when you visit them.

Your browser settings

You can use your browser's privacy settings to view or delete cookies and local storage for ahalliday.com. Deleting the notice setting means the notice may appear again. Blocking storage won't prevent you from reading the site.

Changes and questions

If the site's use of cookies or browser storage changes, this page will be updated. Any new optional tracking will need to be assessed and the appropriate choices provided before it is used.
